My cardiologist said I can start again... but I am nervous. He said there is no explanation for what happened to me last week (this has been going on for 3 years) so not to worry about it. 
I think I am going to be walking only for a while... I am scared of this happening again.

I was in San Diego this past week for work and did no exercising.

Phil and I took our dog to trails near us and we ran about 4 miles in the trails. It was hard, the snow slippery, but we had a great time. It was nice being outside.

On Saturday ran about 3-4 miles in trails.
I ran 5 miles on Tuesday.
Just ran 4 miles tonights.

Can't run for 4 weeks. I was diagnosed with Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome. Starting Physical Therapy Tuesday...and should be back in about a month. I have already gained some weight from not running.

I am sorry Robyn. Are you a member of a gym? I have heard great things about NYSC. Would you be interested in trying classes? Aerobics? Spin?

I live in Medford...just north of the LIE. I don't know if I could keep up with you yet, I just started and am probably doing about 12/13 minute miles. I am hoping to have picked up my pace by the end of the month.
Oh, and I ran 4 miles this morning...actually running the whole time

We live close to each other. I off exit 68 right off of Moriches Middle Island Road in a neighborhood called Manor Park.
I am really not a fast runner.
Are you interested in running flat trails. My friend and I have gone running in a trail about 10 minutes from my house in East Moriches, it is about 3 - 4 miles. We also run at the South Manor Highschool track which is really nice because it is brand new and in the middle of farmland, so it is really peaceful.
Are you interested in races? Like 5ks? We do 5ks during the Spring, Summer and Fall. Let me know if you are interested.

I am definitely interested in the 5K's...although there is no way I am ready for the one next week ...and as far as running on the trails, give me a couple of weeks to stay with it and I may just take you up on it.

Finest Fitness in Patchogue, it's nice...they just opened so they are still ironing out some of the kinks, especially when it comes to the classes.

Took a yoga class this morning at 7:30 am and then did a cardio class at 9:00 am. I had to lay off exercising this past week because I feel down stairs and my ankle and knee got pretty bruised. But I am back now!
