i never get how people just join LIF....i don't think i would have ever bothered..
I joined or found LIW because i needed info on weddings and got hooked...
Although for the most part i really thought that after my wedding was over that i wouldn't bother anymore..
IN FACT someonehad asked that very question...
"are you planning on posting after you wedding?"
I said NOOOOOOOO

I definitely did not think I would still be posting-- and if this site didn't exist I probably wouldn't. I got hooked again on posting going through the home buying process-- now, I just am addicted. Forget it when I start TTC and am pregos!

Probably never thought I'd be posting this long after the wedding. I joined LIW in 2000 when I got engaged and I'm still here on LIF, albeit with a lot less posts!

I got engaged in September 2000 and found LIW shortly there after. I married in June 2002 and sort of drifted off LIW a few months after my wedding. I checked back onto to LIW here and there but kinda felt out of place.
This past spring I stumbled upon LIF and could not believe how many former LIW posters there were. I am now unofficially officially addicted and I don't see this addicition ending anytime soon!

No. After the wedding I got obessed with The Nest and then just sfew weeks ago LIF became my newest obession.
Sometimes I mention you guys to my real life in person friends and I know they think I am a wack job!

I didn't think I was going to be addicted to LIW! I found the site and decided to ask some questions. Lo and behold, I became addicted. Then after the wedding I moved over here and again became addicted. I was really happy to post here at first because there was no wedding talk and I remembered so many people from LIW.

I had a friend who was getting married last year and I was in her wedding. She posted on LIW, so we would go on together at work. She would post, and I would just "browse". I never joined LIW b/c I wasn't engaged, but I did find alot of helpful information there.
When I found about about LIF, I figured, why not join? It's not for weddings, so I feel alot more comfortable posting. I actually recognize alot of posters here from when we would go on LIW all the time.

I wasn't actually a part of LIW. I stumbled across this website by doing some Long Island search a while back and thought it was very helpful since I have a two year old son. I am so glad I found it, though. I wish I had known about LIW when planning my wedding.
