Has anyones family said anything "weird" to DH
For example, my Grandmother told my DH, If you hurt my grandaughter there will be blood
(this was when the Laci Peterson had just been found) My Mom said, if ever you don't love my daughter please just leave her, don't kill her!!
I was like ***?? My family is a bunch of nuts-except for my sister

yeah,sometimes I think my family is smoking crack when they speak. DH finds my family highly amusing so I don't worry about it anymore.

Actually, my mother said to JT and my BIL when the whole Laci Peterson thing happened that if either one of them ever hurt one of us, she'd hunt them down and murder them.  But she then followed that up by telling them that if she was comfortable enough telling them that, she was pretty sure she'd never have to do it

When DH went to ask my dad for his blessing, my dad asked him if he liked me. DH said, I love her, and my dad said, "So what. Do you LIKE her? That's more important."

There is a saying in my family - that they all say (parents, aunts, cousins, even the little kids repeat it now) - at least 10 times a day and that's:
"THANK GOD FOR JAMES"

hah - Just last night, Mom, Rich and I were talking about someone we know that cheated on his wife with another woman at work just 3 MONTHS AFTER THE WEDDING  .... my Mom, who is practically GHANDI-non-violent, came out with, "Rich, I swear to God - you ever pull anything like that, you won't even be able to run, because I'll break your legs myself."

it was a typical passover at my cousins house....dh (bf at the time) was talking to my cousin about studying to become a teacher. everyone started beating down on dh about how teaching does not pay well and how awful the kids are...they all have been teachers for about 20 yrs at this point.
on a different occassion, my grandma asked dh if he could afford me!! 
we definitley put the fun in dysFUNctional!!

My uncle is non-stop when he's around my DH. He lives in California, but when he was here in January he spent practically a whole weekend telling my DH "do you know how special she is? All she has to do is pick up a phone. If I ever get that phone call I'll be on a plane so fast...they'll never find you." And I was sitting there saying, "really babe, my family loves you. Honest!" Poor guy!

Oh here's another great one about my Grandma-although I think she is a little out there. My Granfather passed away 1.5 years ago. About 6 months after, my Grandma asked my DH to come over and get in her crawlspace and fix something-he is 6'4 and not the "handy"
type of guy at all. A couple of days later I get a call from my Granmother saying that my DH stole my grandfathers clothes-I was like Yeah he wants mothball infused clothes-this is stuff my Granfather hadn't even worn in years
