Bin Laden's Niece wants her own reality show!
Is she for real? And the woman who executive produced "growing up gotti" has inked a deal with her.
I'm sorry but I cannot stomach this one. Yes she is not Bin Laden but she still comes from that family and her uncle is the man that masterminded 9/11 and I cannot believe that this country would give this family more fame than they already have by giving them a TV show.
Maybe it's just me but the thought of any member of the Bin Laden family being on american television makes me sick to my stomach.
And the sad part is that america would tune to it just out of curiosity...This is just the way I feel about it, noone has to agree with me.

I'm sorry but I don't think 'his" character should be linked to hers. If my uncle killed someone should I be judged on his merit. That would be very unfair. I don't see a problem w/ it. It's not like she's making a show about Al-Queda. IMO

I understand and I don't expect anyone to agree with me, this is the way I feel. I'm sorry that she has to live with this last name and I know she shouldn't be judged by what her uncled did, but the thought of a Bin Laden being a star in this country?

I have no interest in what this woman has to say.
BUT I think if she is pushing the Bin Laden connection as the premise of the show, I think someone beneficial should be done with the money, like donating to all the rescue workers who are sick from working at Ground Zero.
Only a big famewhore would do something like this. It's revolting.

I see your point and I agree that the last name is something I would hate to live with. Look at Gotti, his daughter is famous thanks to her show and he was not the most honest person & committed some pretty heinous crimes.

good point. i never found that show appealing in the least. the entire "cast" aka family/friends made my stomach turn!!!

If she was noteworthy in her own right then that's a different story.
JMHO but I think reality shows "went off the deep end" years ago. The airwaves are filled with nothing but mind-candy. Celebrities today become celebrities through either criminal activity, addiction, dysfunctional behavior or their penchant for materialism. Gone are the days when the top celebrities actually had talent.
I teach high school and my students are desperate for constructive role models. Everyone they see on tv is busy sleeping around, absuing substances, parading around half-naked or trying to use people to get ahead. No wonder why young people are so troubled.
The last thing we need is another reality show and especially this one.

Just like the Gottis, the ONLY reason she is getting this show is because of her family- she is Bin Laden's neice. You cannot divorce the two issues. She is trying to make it as a singer and I'm sure she figured it would be great for her career. I know I won't be watching it.

I totally agree with you. TV is not like it used to be. Sometimes I get mad when I think about what my son's going to be watching on TV while he's growing up, I mean after he grows out of the cartoon phase.
Remember the good old shows like Three's Company, Family Ties, All in the Family, Who's the Boss, and i'm sure there are so many others. These are the shows I grew up watching that were true comedies...
