Honestly?
I love a nice cold glass of Beringer's White Zinfindel.
I know that wine connoisseurs cringe at that, but I love it!!
I hate hate hate when people "cringe" at that ... it's a wine and you enjoy it, you shouldn't have to feel like it's less than a white or a red wine. To each his own. The White Zin market is hugely profitable.

If you like it, you should drink it. DH is sort of a wine snob....LOL....and he cringes when his mom puts ice in her white, but hey, she likes it so who cares!
We have learned a lot and had a ton of fun by going out to tastings at the vineyards on the North Fork. I wish we'd gotten married at Raphael!

I love this wine from a Vineyard upstate that we have been to...it's called Magnanini wine and it tastes like concord grapes...so good!! I have only been there once, but everytime my parents go or my inlaws go..we make them schlep home bottles and bottles of it..

Pinot Noir from Freeman. Unfortunately you can't buy it in NY- only have boxes shipped from the vineyard in CA.

I love that one too- on a hot summer day, relaxing on the beach...mmmm....
My favorite winter wine is J. Lohr Cabernet- so good.

for a more expensive bottle I love Cain Concept! It a cabernet mix, delicious!!!
I have to say that if I'm just hanging out on th ebeach i love a cheap bottle of fruity, cold wine (some of them are only $4!!!!!!) My husband can buy a case for $25 when we are out n Montauk since i go through it in a about 3 days!!! ) The alcohol content is low so I can polish off a bottle in about 2 hrs.
