My Mother didn't have a middle name. She hated that so she made sure all 6 of us had middle names.
My mom was the same way.
Mine is Lynn.

Mine is Louise. I don't love the name but I love that I have it. It was after my Godmother, my Mom's sister who passed away when she was 40 from lung cancer. It's a nice connection.
My DH's middle name is Trevelyan a long standing family middle name. We both love the name and if we ever have a son will make his first name a variation of it.

Are we counting confirmation names? if so, i have 3 middle names! You can have one of mine if it really bothers you 
When I was born my mother wanted my middle name it to be Kimbery, but I needed a saints name to be baptised, so Anne came into play, and she kept the Kimberly. Then for my confirmation EVERYONE was picking Elizabeth or Christine, so I took Veronica.
Hence, my name is:
Brooke Kimberly Anne Veronica X
Try filling that out on a scantron in High School

I like my middle name, Heather, but DH doesn't like it. Everyone in my family has middle names, but I don't think it's strange not to have one.

I don't have a middle name on my birth certificate...but I adopted my confirmation name as my middle name...its Elizabeth.
And since I choose it...I love it!!!

I don't think it's weird not to have a middle name in that you're not any weirder for it.
in other words:

I like guessing middle names. I once guessed that the middle initial "O" that a friend had stood for Orestes from Greek mythology (he hated it)
