My birth story....
I had a scheduled c-section because baby was breech.... the date changed three times from Aug. 7th to July 31 to the final date of July 27. I found out it was going to be July 27 the day before at 1:30 pm. (Doc. was worried baby would break my water before the c-section date) Baby came three weeks early
We got to the hospital at 5:45 am, we were going to be the first to go but we got bumped.... It gave us more to to relax. At 11:00 they took me in to the OR. I had the spinal (not bad at all) and at 11:21 our breech baby was born. Since it came out bottom first we waited for the whole baby to be out before they told us we have a baby boy!!!!!
DH went with baby as I went to recovery. I was shaking from the meds, it took me about three hours to stop the shaking. I was pretty drugged up the first day.
DS had to be given a bottle before DH could take him to me (low blood sugar) but after the formula he was fine.
I asked for help with b. feeding... the nursery nurse was not very nice... Shoulder down, arm up, hand here......
Since I had a section you can not get out of bed for 24 hours... that was tough... DH had to change DS diaper for the first time in between my legs. He had know idea what to do.
I stayed the full four days your allowed with a section and I'm glad I did. I didn't like the Hospital schedule since DS was not on the same schedule.
All in all - everything worked our great - And we are so in love with our son!!!! Image Attachment(s):
