When my daughter was born she was having difficulty breathing (rapid breathing) that they said could have been caused by fluid still being in the lungs since it was a c-section and you don't get the pressure of a v-birth to push it out. She was put into the oxygen incubator after they gave her about 20 minutes to see if her breathing would even out --- and she stayed in it for 24 hours and then they took her out but she was in the NICU for 4 days.
She came home with me after 4 days and her breathing is fine now. I stayed in the hospital 4 days due to the c-section.
I hope Drew is OK and he will be in my thoughts.

The same thing happened to my Andrew. He swallowed amniotic fluid and was in NICU for 4 days. He also had low blood sugar. He came home breathing fine and we have had no problems since (knock on wood). I know how hard it is having a baby in NICU. Hang in there. Congrats on your new baby boy. I will be praying for him

sending lots of prayers for baby Drew. I know how hard it is to leave your baby in the NICU. I pray that he makes a speedy recovery and is home with you soon.
