When did your little one start to sleep through the night?

My little guy is 6 weeks and I was wondering when this happens (I know every baby is different).

Noah started sleeping through at about 11 weeks, however it was sort of on and off. At the moment (15 weeks) he is sleeping through again, and I am finding that a midnight feed is working wonders for him!

Good luck with yours...nothing is better than a nights uninterrupted sleep!!!

Mattingly started sleeping thur the night at 3 months old, and Joey started at 4 months old.

Kiera was a month when she started, but that is very early. I think about 3-5 months is about average.

Can someone define sleeping through the night for me? I often wonder if people have different definitions, because so many moms here say their babies sleep through, while all the moms I know locally have babies that continue to wake up at least once.

My daughter is about 13 months, and she wakes up briefly at least once a night. She goes to sleep around 7 pm and wakes up for the day around 6:30 am. She nurses once around 3 am, and occassionally wakes up earlier and puts herself back to sleep.

For about 2 months (from when she was 9 mos - 11 mos) I stopped nursing her at night. She was waking up at about 5 am for the day then. I much prefer feeding her once at 3 am and not having to get out of bed until 6:30!

my DS sleeps 9-10 hours since 3 months...

I heard sleeping through the night means at least 5 hours..

Kevin did 11-5/6 at about 11 weeks. This lasted about 2 months and then he didn't sleep thru the night again until maybe a year. After 4-5 months his night wakenings were more often and not for food and harder to get him back to sleep - teeth and spearation anxiety - I guess.

Mystically at a year he started sleeping thru the night on a more regular basis. He may cryat night now but pretty much puts himself back to sleep.

At around 8 weeks, Alex slept 7-hours. At 12+ week, she's been sleeping 9 hours straight.

The tapping of my foot as I wait for Alex to sleep through the night. 7 months going strong and she still wakes up 2 times a night!

8 weeks for both my lil kiddies. and thats when they started to sleep from 11 pm-7am.

uhhhhhh at 1 year. He may wake up cry for a minute but puts himself back to sleep

Emma will be 5 months old and she still wakes up for a midnight feed. But she goes to bed between 7:30-8:30 and will sleep until 7:00 or 8:00am.

She is almost 5 months and did ok the last 2 nights
She falls asleep anywhere from 8:30-10, eats at 12, then sleeps till 6:30ish.

I am hoping it stays this way!

Sara has a bottle at 11PM - we wake her for it and then she sleeps unitl 6AM

my 18 month old still waks up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ......more then my 6 week old! my 6 weeks old gos to bed at 9 sleps until 2 eats and then back to bed until 7...he is an angel , my daughter on the other hand she is a different story! lol

Julia started to sleep through the night at 3 months. I would put her to bed with us at like 10pm and she would sleep till 6am, I would BF her then she would sleep till 9am. She is pretty much on the same time today. (9mths)

At 8 weeks my son starting sleeping from 10/11 to 6/7am.

Andrew started to sleep through the night at 6 months, but it was short-lived. Then he would wake up on average 2-3 times a night where I would pick him up, rock him back to sleep, and put him back in his crib.

Now he's pretty good. He might start to cry and fuss during the night, but he falls back on his own (usually). Occasionally I still do pick him up and rock with him...

Gianna was 7 weeks old when she started sleeping 10-12 hours

At 10/11 weeks he started sleeping from 7pm to 6am, without waking. That's my definition of sleeping through the night though I've heard that alot of people commonly refer to "sleeping through the night" as a 5 hr stretch.

Zachary started at about 3 months - but now at 6 1/2 months he doesn't anymore. I'm still waiting for Hailey to get the idea! Sometimes she does and sometimes she's up twice a night.
