I agree completely. I think you'd get more use out of the black dress because you could wear it to similar events and the pink dress stands out more. The pink would make you look different than every other black dress.
I say 2 weddings, buy both.

#2 looks classier
ed: you could get 2 different shrugs or shawls to not wear the same thing. It would be harder to do that with dress #1
