Ok, I'm still here, but the contractions have become very irregular. Dr. said to stay home and try to sleep, call back in the pain is really intense, though, which it's not. I have an appt. tomorrow to see the dr., so we'll see. Sorry to get anyone excited over nothing! Well, I'll make Ava apologize formally when she finally gets here

If you're in true labor, you'll wind up in the hospital soon enough No need to sit around in a hospital being monitored. Labor at home as long as you can. I was thrilled to show up at the hospital @ 5cm and @10cm.
She's right! I went to the hospital early with my son (because I was scared out of mind, I had noooo idea what I was doing!) and I was in labor at the hosp. for 1 1/2 days, that was after they sent me home the first time with my daughter I waited and labored at home in the jacuzzi tub and the rocking chair and I was much much more relaxed at home and I was already 6cm when I got to the hosp.. had her 4 hrs later

WOW! It's time already! I just wanted to add that I was experiencing regular contractions, but very irregular for a few weeks before my induction and they were ALWAYS bearable....but they were real. If after the Pitocin in the hospital they were bearable...I was talking laughing and hanging out until they broke my water! That's when they became unbearable.
As long as they are regular (such as Rachels' 4 min apart) they are real, aren't they?
Can't wait to meet Ava!

I was thinking about you this morning. Good Luck! Hope she comes soon and you don't have these pains for 3 more weeks 
My grandma said that when she had my dad, she never felt "contractions." She said that she had some "slight cramping" and when she went to the Dr. for her regular appointment, he told her she was in labor and my dad was born an hour later
