Something bad happened last night
At about 1:15 in the morning I heard a huge BOOM in front of my house. We live across from the Southern State Pkwy. I looked out the window to see people running in front of my house. I got my DH up to go outside and called our tenants (Megsm3 and her DH) to go out there also.
It turns out there was a car doing 100 mph on the Southern State - weaving in and out of cars. He must have lost control - hit and knocked down a few trees (onto Megs car) and then proceeded to flip over and land her Megs' DH car - upside down and backwards.
The police were here within seconds and it took them an hour to get the kid out (he was 20 yrs old and lives in Levittown - island trees) He was still alive - they didn't know what would happen but maybe that he broke his neck.
We don't know if he was drunk or not yet. It was really the scariest thing I have ever witnessed in my life. He ripped the entire fence down - and all of the trees that were blocking us and the Southern State.
I have some pics - I will post them in a little bit.
The moral of this - please drive safely - and tell your DH's the same thing. It is soooooooo scary and you never know how short life is - or what can happen in a moment. Image Attachment(s):

I can't imagine what it was like seeing that. I hope the driver is ok and that he will learn from this...and so very thankfull no one else was hurt!

OMG. Thank God more people weren't hurt.
The Southern State Parkway has been called one of the most dangerous roads in the state for all of the turns yet everytime I'm on there I see daredevils weavng in and out of traffic. I hope this kid learned his lesson.
