UPDATED!!! It's benign!!! Prayers for (our) Mom.. she may have lung cancer...
My (and DAWNIE's) mother may have lung cancer. She already has really bad emphysema (lungs are functioning at 36%) and she went last week for a routine check up, and they found a nodule. What P**** me off is that she had this 18 months ago, and they never even notified her to come back for a follow up. They kept renewing her 101 prescriptions over the phone. SHe is already on oxygen...
She has a petscan on Tuesday, but if it is cancer, I will make sure that I close down that practice... How can doctors know something is and not a) tell you or b) make a follow up for it? :cries
They told me that she is eligible for a lung transplant as it is, but she is cutting it close because of her age.:
We already went through the whole cancer thing with our father and luckily he is still around today...

I got home around 6:15, but I had to get Jules to bed...
It's benign!!!! I feel like a load of weight has just been lifted off of me... she has to go back every three months for cat-scans, but they did a full body scan, and the found no cancer-no cancer ANYWHERE! Atleast if anything ever starts, they can catch it from the beginning! And the application process has begun for the transplant. The also mention another type of surgery where they would remove an area of the lung which has the worst emphysema and it would actually help her breath better.
I wanted to hug the doctor at that moment, but it would have been very unprofessional...

First of all 
I would be so mad at the doctors too. A similar thing happened to my dad and unfortunately it turned out he had colon cancer and it was too late
