Still no phone call. I'm annoyed that they're even giving this guy a third chance. I don't want him to be our social worker -- end of story. If there's no message on my machine by 5, I'm really going to lose my f'ing mind.

I would not wait until 5pm, I'd give until 3:30/4pm, which then would give you time today to call NB and follow up....otherwise you will then have to wait unti tomorrow.

So Joe and I have both taken turns calling Cathy D. today. She was still trying to call Greg to get him to call back. HELLO?!?! We don't want this jerk! I called myself to tell her that we do NOT want him as our social worker so now we're back to square 1. I'm soooooooooo frustrated and really am considering switching agencies but know that will delay me even more.

I honestly don't care WHO I get at this point; I just want someone.....and QUICKLY! How did I end it? Cathy said she'd work on getting me a new SW ASAP and that she'd call my cell by the end of my lunch hour, which ended at 1pm. Hi.

Ok, here's the latest. At about 3pm yesterday, Joe's cell rings while he's at work and it's SW #1 -- the lazy guy! He almost died and said he'd call him right back bc this was well AFTER the fact that NB said they'd work on getting us a new SW. Joe calls me to ask what he should do and I tell him to call NB. Cathy from NB said to NOT call him back bc she had already gotten us a new SW, Maureen. Now I am ELATED that we have Maureen bc I know her from my workshop and love her. I wanted her from the get-go. I'm still wondering why Cathy didn't call to tell us that she had found us a new SW and why she didn't inform that lazy guy that he was no longer our SW, but whatever. I know they're very busy. So, Cathy told Joe that we'd hear from Maureen today or Monday. Last night I had to go to my sister's house after work to help care for her baby who has apnea and I kept asking my sister, "Do you think Maureen called?" and she's like, "You know Joe would call you if she did. Relax." Well, I get home at 9pm and Joe's in the den watching TV and I see the machine blinking 2 messages. I'm like, "Joe, who's on the machine?" and he's like, "I dunno. Why?" HELLO?!? We've just been DYING to get a phone call and you're not intelligent enough to check the machine? Well, it was Maureen, and TWICE...and she was sweet as could be and even said she was going to try one of our cells (which Joe claims she never did but he's probably wrong.) So, needless to say, I was angry with Joe for a little bit last night but got over it bc WAHOO, I'm sooooooo excited! I called Maureen back this morning and she was willing to meet with us whenever we wanted...so I have an appt at 1pm on Sunday! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! I wish I would have called NB earlier. Joe is not strong enough to ask for a new SW; I did within the first five seconds of my phone conversation and WHAMMO -- done. So it's not my agency afterall, it was just that GUY. Uch! So now my next stress is the unfenced pool. I also have to go out and get a carbon monoxide detector. Anything else I should do?

Maureen is a doll. We spoke with her when she called TISH's (Liz) references. So nice you ..will love her.!!!!!! congrats on the news!!!

Aaw, Jenn -- I do remember that you had Maureen as your SW, and I know her from my workshop and love her already. I'm so excited! Jenn, what is TISH? I didn't know my references were going to be called. I feel so clueless. Sandra, Scott is too sweet. I love all of you! Thanks!

Nevermind, I was asking Jennifaaaa what is TISH bc I just think of TISH as Liz and it didn't ring a bell. I figured out what she was talking about right after I posted, but seriously, do they always call all of your references? If they can't get in touch with all of them right away, is your homestudy delayed?

I don't know if MAureen ever called my references. I guess I never really asked.

I remember Maureen saying she tried all 5 references and only 2 of the 5 were home when she called. Us being one of them. And then she said she was finished with the references and sending the paperwork in. I called Liz (Tish) right a way and said "Guess who called?" she said, "who?" and i said Maureen and the refernces were done ...she was so excited!!!!!!!

You ladies are the best. Thank you so much for all of the support you've consistently provided me with during these stressful times. I'm going to try to clean like a madwoman today. I can't believe she'll be here tomorrow! What should I serve food/drink wise? It'll be 1pm.

Ok, she just left. She was here for about three and a half hours and I love her to death. She is such a sweetheart. I felt like I was with family. Everything went great. She wrote that our pool was fenced bc she believed us that we were going to do it, so that was a huge relief. Only thing is that she said we should aim for December for the baby to come home. Originally we were thinking July, then Sept. Now she said aim for December so there's no disappointments. So it's 9 mos from now; kinda like getting a BFP today! I'm so excited and it's a huge relief to have this part done! She said she's going to write up the homestudy within a week and then we just have to wait for our fingerprinting to be done and then comes the official wait!

Congrats! I am happy to hear it went so well! I loved our SW too, which is a great thing, and so comforting!!! Glad to hear about the fence and it is not a problem!

Okay, we are all done w/ our HS....We will now meet each other at the fingerprinting !!!
