yes, i realize that different bcp's affect certain people differently, but im just curious which ones have the best track record- or if its a bunch of random ones

So it technically DID make you gain weight, just not in your belly  
As for me, I've had a problem with every single pill I ever took, so I'm not really a help. Say "no" to the patch!

I have been on Desogen for years-- and really like it.
I had a horrible experience with Yasmin..
I am very sensitive to these pills-- even when my pharmacist gives me the generic version of Desogen it affects me-- which is why I now pay $40/month for the name brand.

My dr. told me lately that they recently found that pills don't make you gain weight.
I've been on quite a few with no gain on any. Well, some weight gain, but none I think that can be attributed to the pill! To be honest, I think weight gain is a natural thing as you get older, and people blame the pill for what happens naturally.

Orthotricyclen Lo - no side effects (It's non-preferred on my prescription plan, so I pay $40 a month for it or $80 mail away for 3 mos.)
Yeah, say No to the patch. I dont think my gyno will even prescribe it anymore.

Honestly, I know everyone is concerned about weight gain, but the side effects I experienced are worse than a few extra pounds.
Low sex drive, mid cycle spotting, depression....

yasmin was best for me -no side effects when I was on the pill. I never gained weight with it - if anything I felt it help maintain weight or lose a couple pounds.
Others I tried others that totally made me gain weight (I don't gain weight easy either) and definitely made me depressed.

I was on OTC reg then switched to OTC low a few months ago.........no weight change.

I switched recently from the patch to OTC Lo and I lost a ton of weight (I also changed my diet a bit, but think that this defintely wasn't just a change in diet).
