Let's Daydream- If you won that big azz lottery drawing...

what would you do with all that dough?

I would finish the school year, then quit, probably. But I'd want to do something with my time (till we have kids, anyway). I'd love to open a bookstore or start a non-profit to help inner city kids and/or schools, maybe something arts related. We'd pay off the house and DH thinks we should move back to LI since we could actually afford something nice finally! Though I've really come to love our little town and I'd miss it, I'd rather get something bigger up here. And we'd help our families out.

Finally, I'd have a Coach bag for every day of the week.

First things first, I would quit my job and I am sure Danielle would too.

I may open a car detailing business, or a Book store or something. Something to take up my time would be nice.

Sell our house in Levittown and buy something in South Bellmore, South Merrick or Wantagh.

Give money to our parents and family.

Buy new Expensive cars

Buy a few vacation homes

Goto EUROPE

And Back to Sandals Grande St Lucian in St Lucia

DH would quit his job and open a Scuba Shop.

We would buy a nice house probably on the water in Bellport or Remsenburg.

Give money to family.

Buy a nice car

Buy a motorhome

Buy an apt in the city, and a house in the country (not sure where, maybe Vermont), and another apartment in Paris

Buy my mom and brother and sister a house

Quit my job

Have DH quit his if he wanted to

Adopt many dogs

Go back to school to become a teacher

Pay off my wedding & honeymoon (currently in the process of doing-but I wouldnt have to watch my money sooo much)

First - meet with a financial planner
Second - Give 10% to charity/church, invest 75% of it, live off 15% and the interest.
Third - pay off house & bills
Fourth - DH & I would quit our jobs
Fifth - buy a bigger house, or stay here and build on to our current one.
Sixth - New cars, clothes, etc. if we have $$ left to burn.

I read in a book that most people who win the lottery are broke within 5-8 years. I would want to live off the interest and investments so that we would not be broke down the road.

I actually don't know if I would quit working, I like what I do. I would probably work less.

I would buy a house and a nice Manhattan apt.
I would pay for all of my nieces & nephews to go to college.
I would plan great vacations to see all the places I have wanted to go to.
I would invest most of it, and donate some of it.

Pay someone to write my dissertation
Have babies after my dissertation is written for me
Set up college funds for all nephews/nieces

Buy a larger place in NYC and something out west.

Travel a bit.

Open a scrapbook studio - not a store. A place for people to GTG and scrap with friends. Nothing fancy, but charming.

Do charity work.

I don't know what DH would do with his time - probably plan vacations.

DH and I would both HAPPILY quit our jobs!

we would then buy a house on LI, and probably 1 or 2 more in other places.

we would both get new cars. Audi A8 for me and an M5 for DH

both our parents have no debt (thank GOD), so we would just give them a chunk of $$ and let them have fun

I would definitely invest a decent chunk of it. Then I would buy a house in Babylon on the water. My DH and I would quit our jobs and I would definitely give money to family along with paying off anything owed.

- Move back to Sayville, maybe Bayport in a big house with a housecleaner
- Get a nanny for my dog
- Take a nice long vaca
- Make my husband buy me diamond earrings and a necklace for my birthday
- Volunteer doing something with animals

well I would pay all my debt, buy a house in South Carolina, move there and open my own clothing store or a business.

Invest it and then travel all year long.

pay my debt, give some to my parents, dh parents, my SIL and her family, my BIL, my best friend, and then buy a vacation house out east and that is it, I would stay lviing where I live and just live VERY comfortably, go on vacations, and not worry about working.

and last but not least, I would tell my job that I quit and how I feel about them and as I was leaving throw some spare change down.

Oh what a nice dream this....
