Closet Doors

Dh like sliders, but I feel like I can never see whats in the middle of the closet.

I like bifolds, but DH doesn't b/c he says they always come off the track.

What kind of closet doors do you have, and do you like them?

Re: Closet Doors

My closet doors look like french doors, (I think they're by Anderson) with a beveled edge mirror set in them.

Re: Closet Doors

we treated rach closet differently depending on the room.
ours is a walk in so it has one raised panel swing door.
the guest room has bipass raised panel-which I like the look but if I had to use that cloet everyday I think it would be hard to access everything.
Nicoles has mirrored bypass because she loves to look at herself
Brians is a walkin w/a single swing door.

Not sure if all that info helps you.

We have bifolds too. In one bedroom, we have a single door closet. In another, we have double doors that open out.

Re: Closet Doors

We have different doors in different rooms so I have both the sliding doors and bifold doors in my house. I actually prefer the sliding doors over the bifold doors.

we have these as well, I like them a lot. Growing up, my parents house has sliders and regular doors, they were OK.

Re: Closet Doors

We had a 4 piece slider door on our closet that looked awful (They had louvers on the top) but were actually great for seeing everything.

We swapped them out for 6 panel bi-folds - they look great! But one did come off the track and b/c our door opening is much more narrow then the closet, it's hard to see and reach the far ends of the closet. We have double rods in our closet so I am sure that increases the difficulty I have with reach.

I love the french doors posted above!

Re: Closet Doors

I have two regular six panel doors. I like the fact that I can open them both up and have full access to the closet.

Re: Closet Doors

Mirrored sliders, they make the room look bigger and are useful for getting dressed. I even think the ones I purchased at Lowes look good.

Re: Closet Doors

I hate my sliders too....When we ever get bedroom furniture and decorate the room I want to replace the doors.

We have two sliders next to each other and I was actually thinking of looking into getting something custom made that looks like furniture. Sort of what they do on the show Devine Design. But most likely it will be too much $$$, but it's nice to dream Chat Icon
