I hope she will be fine (my husband's cousin had a similar operation on thursday, he had a tumor the size of a fist in his brain... he is 17... anyways after 10 hours in surgery he is recovering just fine!!) lots of prayers for that little girl

Wow! I'm glad he's doing well. The Dr. said he's seen it quite often in children.

She's finally out of surgery. The tumor they removed is called an astrocytoma. They have to wait for the results to come back in a few days to see what stage it is. The Dr. said he believed it was a stage 1 or 2, in which case, the prognosis is good.
The scary thing is, my other friend, with the little boy who had cancer that I mentioned earlier, lost her husband to a stage 3 astrocytoma, 3 months before the boy was diagnosed with his cancer. I'm sick to my stomach!
You guys are the best! Thanks for all the prayers. Please keep them coming!
