My DH stays for all my appts, even the internals. My ob says it's good that he understands what really goes into being a woman and pg.

During my first appointment they asked DH to wait in the waiting room while they did the exam and the sono. After they found the heartbeat on the sono screen they invited him in and asked us questions and gave us info, etc.

maybe the dr kicked him out for the just this visit since some of the questions are personal - t may be a liability thing (ie - about abuse and hiv staus, etc.).....my dh came to all but the first appt when i found out.....and he even stays now for internals (he is under warning not to look or anything  ) which helps me feel more comfortable since two sets of ears are always better! try talking to your dr if you have concerns - i now i learned the hard way about not being happy with a dr, so if you aren't switch now!!!

I would be mad if they kicked my
DH out. But as long as he is able to be there when u do the sono then its ok. Call themand ask if they allow this. Also explain to your doc that u want DH to be there and if he cant be in the room then u need to switch docs.

DH stayed in the waiting room during the internal/pap. I didn't mind, I actually preferred it that way. I know DH was thankful I didn't ask him to stay, he didn't even look down there when I was having Nate.
He was in the room for the sono, though.

I wasn't even thinking to bring DH for my first OB appt on 9/25. However, we did make plans for him to be there for the first sono which I will have on 9/18.

Thanks girls WE have another app on 9/18 for the sono so if they don't let him in then, i will say something, i mean i thought maybe she thought is was just some guy but i made it clear that he was MY HUSBAND!! o well, it is over and we will just see, THanks for all your replies I will keep you updated after the next app.......

that is weird, my dh came in & stayed when the doc did the pap (she draped a a blanket so he couldn't see!)
