Re: How many kids would you want/planning to have?

I would like 2 and I want them to be 2 or 3 years apart. Any more than that and I feel like they don't "grow up" together. If you think about it, 4 years is pretty far apart when you are younger.

I personally feel one of the best gift you can give your child is a sibling. I can't imagine my life without my brother, I don't know how I made it through those 2 1/2 yrs before he was born

I have spoken to a few poeple about being an "only child" and I have gotten both negative & postitve responses. This is a very touchy subject w/ DH & I. Marissa has never asked for a sibling, but she is still young.

There are pros & cons for any situation--nothing is perfect. DH is an only child & my mom's first reaction was "oh how sad", but he wasn't ever a loney child or anything. I asked if he ever wanted siblings & he said there was a time that he wanted an OLDER sister, but he knew that wasn't going to happen!

For us, DH isn't sure & I keep going back & forth bewteen zero & 3!

We definitely want at least 3 of our own. Later down the line if we are financially stable then we've talked about adopting.

And yes this has been our plac long before getting married...

If we feel we handled one, two is possible..

I would like 3, DH always said 2 but in the hosptial after Sarah was born he said maybe we'd have 3. We'll see what happens. We feel very lucky that Sarah and the peanut are both healthy so far.

Re: How many kids would you want/planning to have?

I always wanted 3 but after meeting my husband, the middle child, and knowing a few other middle children, that would definitely not be the plan any longer. If we decide to have kids we will either have 1 or 2 at the most.

Re: How many kids would you want/planning to have?

I want one. I have always just wanted one. However my DH is an only child, and he is very set against that, he says it is just not right to do that to a child. However, if that is all we can have that is okay, but to just have one and not have another he is mot agreeable to. it is very lonely feeling and he doesnt want his child to go through that.

So we shall see.

The middle child scares me as well in families of 3. We are either 4 or 2. Probably wind up stopping at 2 though.
