For those I love that don't check LIW that often...or those interested in seeing pics of my house...
These were taken today...working on the guest bedroom (we have guests in 2 weeks!! My best friend and her DH and then my DH's parents & siblings (about 7 people total) are coming for 2 weeks in July!!) and rest of the house. Love my new weekends!!

Neenie...no pics of your room yet!! That's the guest bedroom we're working on. You and your DH are more than welcome to visit!! It's actually possible to work, go to school, own a home and have a family here...without going into serious debt and still have free time to enjoy life!!

Melly Mel!!  I just spoke with "the Italian you"... my best friend who's living in Italy and she's coming home (well, to NY) in July...coming down for some champagne on the deck in August! 
Anyway, as usual, I got off topic...sorry...
Thanks much for the response!! Like I wrote on LIW, I'm a super boy when it comes to decorating...and I'm very plain (and the kitchen is not painted yet...neither are any of the rooms for that matter) so I'm pretty proud of what little I've done. And of course, looking at my little orchid plant every morning makes me all cheery. My kitchen is my escape...I mean...that big tree in the back can't be beat.
Although my washer and dryer had me hyperventilating for a while!! Meanwhile, DH is all about his fridge!!
Ah...lovely ramble about nothing. Probably would have made a great FM. But whatever. Love ya girlie!!

I will!! And I hope (and I mean it) that we can actually "hang" one day...again, GA is on the way to Florida so if you're ever in a road trip mood with your DH, you have a place to crash in Atlanta.
Lovely house and all...but I miss my NY friends. No one here gets sarcasm!

Well, thankfully my co-workers are from the NE! So they get me...a little (other than the usual "yes, you are odd" comments we're all good!! ). But people in general don't...and it's so frustrating.
I hope we hang too! I mean, I plan on visiting NY...so there's always a way!!

Thank you!! And yes, NY just wasn't a possibility for us, meanwhile we could buy a "mansion" here with no problems and pay a little more than what we did for rent on a 1 bedroom apt in Brooklyn!
