Re: Do you use your oven as storage???

NO...

When I was younger I was babysitting. I would babysit from 4pm to 4 am and get like 10.00 (she was poor at the time till she met a rich mofo) and she would let me bring my friends. I asked my friend to pre heat the oven and she did. WELL I forgot to tell her that Michele used it as storage. Next thing I know SMOKE everywhere. She put the dish drain thing that you dry dishes on IN THE STOVE Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

No, I would probably forget and turn the oven on with all of the pans still inside!

I keep it empty. I am very forgetful- so this is definitely safest.

I used to until I almost burned our apt down and ruined a bunch of pots. I have to keep it empty because I just keep on forgetting.Chat Icon

Re: Do you use your oven as storage???

My Mom always did. I actually have lots of cabinets in my kitchen so I haven't needed to. And then it always annoyed me to find a place for them when I needed the oven

In our apartment now, we don't have the warmer, so it is all in the boiler room. I am used to growing up and not having anything in the oven. Then when I would go to DH's parents house, I'd ALWAYS forget and I'd have 5 burning hot pans that I'd have to figure out what to do with. Annoying. In the new place, IT HAS THE WARMER!!!!!!!

I sometimes keep a small baking dish or large fry pan in there...I usually put it in there to dry.

It's empty.. I cook all the time, so having things stored in it would bother me.

I do keep some stuff in the drawer below though.
