LIF Parenting
I just wanted to say how great this board is - honestly - I feel like there are no judgements here & that we're all supportive of each other. I see the sniping on the other boards. It's so disappointing to see people attacking each other.

I agree, I spend what time I have on this board and on the pregnancy one. I rarely even look at the other boards anymore!

I absolutely agree but I'm concerned for the sanctity of this board as others transition into TTC and parenting I feel that at some point down the road, this board will have the same feel as NFR, etc.

I love this board I think it is great how we ar all so supportive of each other and try to help and give our advice and opinions of things and no one gets mad and there haven;t been any petty arguements like there have been on the other boards. I basically stay on this board once in a while I will check FHF board other then that I stay here
Thanks to all the mommy's and the daddy's that are on this board for helping out and being so nice

I agree. It's nice to be able to come here when you are upset or frustrated and ask a simple question and not be treated like you are stupid or a bad mom. We've all been through rough patches, and it's nice to get some different, non-judgemental feedback from other moms and dads. I find it often gives me something to think about or try, which is great!

what a nice thread. 
but i have to wonder - was it really necessary to somewhat 'bash' the other boards? what about the Parents who frequent BOTH boards, and may find themselves involved in some of the more heated threads on those boards?
i agree that there's a tremendous support group here, and one can come here for advice w/o feeling like their being judged, b/c after all, we're all mommies (and daddies too), and sometimes need that other perspective...or just want to share pics, experiences about our kiddies. but why not just leave it at that, YAY for LIF Parenting. ??

I venture out to the other boards...and love a few that dont post on here as well!!!
I think that our posts or threads dont lead to such controversial issues..hence not leading to bashings and such!!
Either way..... There a quite a few of you I love chatting with, and truely consider my greatest friends...

I don't think was an anti any other board. I think it was a sweet post telling us how great we have it here.

couldn't agree more chickie!
I don't understand why someone looking to be happy about supportive people can turn into a them vs. us.
BUT i must say some comments really set a tone to those of us TTC or PG.
Concerned for the sancity of a board...COME ON...
that was extremely unnecessary and hypocritical
I think it is great that this board is supportive and wonderful to those that post on it. And i can't wait to be apart of it. Along with all the soon-to-be parents (God willing)

I don't think any of us want the drama - it's hard enough dealing with MIL issues over grandchildren, sleep deprivation and everything else that comes along with motherhood. I know I don't want the upheaval of arguing with people I barely know. I have enough of that in my everyday life. My post wasn't meant to criticize the other boards - it was meant to say how great everyone was on THIS board.
The NFR board can be supportive at times & other times, well it's just not. You don't have to spawn children to use some form of tact when criticizing someone - and some people on those boards just don't use it. I hope all of the other posters join the parenting board (if they want to go that route) and just keep the back biting elsewhere.
And now that it's midnight & I've finished wrapping presents for 3 hours, I get to lay out my kids clothes to have them dressed & out of the house by 7am.
And to all a good night...{baby dust} {baby dust}...followed by graceful exit.
