Re: Poll-Is it appropriate to "tote" dogs into stores??

Hmmmmmmmmm...... let me see..... BRU.... that would be BABIES r US!!!! That means a baby would be sitting in the same seat that some dog sat in. I'm sorry, that is gross. Maybe the dog gets a shower everyday and is cleaner than clean, but I don't know that and to me it is disrespectful to the next person!

Chat Icon That is just wrong!

I can't stand it when I see idiots bring their tiny dogs and cats on the subway and in the passenger cabins of planes. It's extremely inconsiderate and potentially very dangerous to people with allergies.

Re: Poll-Is it appropriate to "tote" dogs into stores??

IMO NOT APPROPRIATE. WHAT IF SOMEONE'S ALLERGIC
BUT
my father keeps taking Rocky everywhere regardless of what I say.
He's been to
HomeDepot
Stop n Shop
Chase Bank (they always give him a bone there)
etc...

if a store allows dogs, then nice.I'm all for it.
but if it doesnt, an owner shouldnt try to bring one in

sorry, i'm going to have to disagree with you there...(and i AM an allergy sufferer).....
the airlines allow for small pets in passenger cabins - and charge enough damn $$$ for them too....as long as they're in the proper carry-on, i see nothing wrong with it.

I agree w/ mrserod. If the pets allowed, then its their right. A person with allergies should know that pets might possibly be there.Such as they should know by signs on the store door if dogs are allowed in certain stores..

If they're not allowed in certain stores, and an owner still brings a pet in, then i feel bad for the allergic person bc he had no way of knowing it was going to be there.

this is true but then where are you going to put them. I have seen many mothers use disinfectant wipes on the cart handles where their child will be touching.

Basically, you're saying that people with pet allergies shouldn't travel on airplanes.

I couldn't disagree more.

People first, pets second.

no I mean where you sit the child. I have never seen anyone wipe down the inside of a cart worried that a dog was in there or went in it. and bigger kids are put in there.

i don't believe that's what she was saying at all. i think she just means that when travelling, one should expect the possiblity that another traveler may very well be accompanied by their small pet. not that people with allergies shouldn't travel on airplanes!!
