How Long Before Your Baby Slept Through the Night??
Just wondering what the average was...if this 6 weeks I keep hearing is true or should i expect it to be longer then that.

DD has never slept longer than a 5 hour stretch and she is almost 6 months...

Bella was 3 1/2 months and did it on her own. Our doc wanted us to try ang implement it on our own at 3 month and it was a NIGHTMARE!
At 6 weeks, you'll see more of a pattern/routine to there sleeping...hopefully...

My daughter didn't give us a 5+ hour stretch until about 6 months... even then, though she was still waking 2-3 times a night. She didn't officially sleep through the night, as in a 9-10 hour stretch without waking, until about 10 months

DS started sleeping from 10 pm - 7 am at 7 weeks.

Consistently at around 4 or 4 1/2 months...but a few times when she was 3 months...

6 weeks... and then it stopped around 12 weeks. She started again last week, but then we went away- so I am hoping she can get back to it.

DD is 7 1/2 mths and never does more than a 3 hour stretch ....at this stage I have given up and hope she might be doing at least 5 horus by the time she is 1

I am still waiting. My babies share a room, lately my son has been waking up screaming, and I mean SCREAMING. Blood curdling screams. Wakes the whole house up. My DD sometimes sleeps through it but I don't ususally get more than 5 hours in a row from her. Sometimes she'll throw in a 7 hour stretch, but those are few and far between.
I don't know what is going on with my DS though.
They are 11 months old.

around 6 wks our DD started to do 8-9 hour stretches. (I'm crossing my fingers that it remains that way since she'll only be 8 wks this Saturday!  )

At about 10 weeks she started sleeping through the night (about 8 hr stretch).....now she sleeps about 10 hours a night and sometimes 12. She is 6 months old

Sarah was about 4 months. Andy was about 6 weeks. For us the "magic number" seemed to be 12 lbs, but a lot of people tell me that when dc hit 10lbs they started to sleep through the night.
