Letter I Wish I Could Send...Feel Free To Include Yours

Dear Monster-In-Law,

I would like to thank you for bringing your son into this world, since over all he is a great husband. I am genuinely happy that you are out of the hospital and all is well. But why are you pretending to be on your death bed while your son in is your presence??? Why must you play these mind games? I pity the fool that believes you and myself since I have to deal with the wrath of the aftermath. I am thinking of writing to Dr. Phil because aside from Physical therapy I know that you also need mental therapy. I may know a few people on a chat site that may know of a few shrinks. I can not wait till they start sending volunteers to the moon so I can deport my family there. Again, thank you for bringing your son into this world....but he is MY husband and no longer your 5 year old son.

Your Grateful Daughter-In-Law

Dear MIL:

Can you please stop giving my daugther a can of Peanut Butter to walk around the house with? The decopauge of crusty peanut butter EVERYWHERE in my house is not doing it for me.

Oh yes, and if you're going to "pretend" to do the dishes, try some soap and water on those babies BEFORE you put them in the cabinet. I'm not down with your leftovers on every freaking dish in my house. By the way, your son will be rewashing them allChat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Letter I Wish I Could Send...Feel Free To Include Yours

Dear Inlaws,

when are you going to grasp the concept that your son does not sit around all day wanting to talk to you on the phone or email. He works- in fact he works about 10 to 12 hours a day- he is busy- he doesn't want to talk to you about "his feelings" EVER and NEVER while he is in the middle of closing a loan at work

I don't understand why you think you live in this Donna Reid/Martha Stuart fantansy- your son moved out over 10 years ago- and he doesn't want to share his feeling with you- stop annoying him and let him make money

and by the way- I think it's gross that you questioned my enagament ring being real and his watch being real- get over yourselves and realize that your son- who you told would never amount to anything- is more succesful at age 29- then you have ever been-

hate to break it to you- but some one had to

signed- your daughter in law

Wow- I feel better now

Re: Letter I Wish I Could Send...Feel Free To Include Yours

Dear SIL:

I just wanted to thank you for the terrific job you've done in keeping my brother away from his family. It is amazing how he has totally forgotten all the horrible things you've done to us and how you've made my parents miserable. I want to thank you for having him forget how to call his parents on Mother's Day, Father's Day, and birthdays. I would love to know your secret. BTW I wanted to thank you in having him be mad at us for not remembering your son's communion, especially since we overnighted cards and gifts and he didn't know for over 2 weeks.

You're the best. Should have learned from you 18 years ago when you married my brother.

Dear Ex-best friend,

Please, for the love of God, leave me alone!!!! Stop contacting my DH and my family members and telling them how much you miss me. They all give me the guilt trip about this. Im sorry things didnt work out between us, but Im living a much happier life without all the drama and would like to continue doing so.

Signed,
The friend you took advantage of

Dear MIL,

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you. I wish you were still with us, so i could personally thank you for having your son. He is my rock. Everyone says how you and I would have loved each other, and how kind and generous you were. It shows in your children, and the family that loved you so.
I am grateful that you were on this earth, even if your time here was cut short. Your love shines through everytime I look into Sofia's eyes. I love you.

Signed,
Your Daugther In Law, Christina
