People say the most idiotic things.....
So i have told a few people Im PG with twins, and the first thing out of ther mouth a laugh...and say you are going to be HUGE

i'm huge now with one, and laugh at myself as i waddle down the hall! it's part and parcel of pregnancy, a wonderful thing!

I'm not offended, I laugh at myself too. I just think that people should have some kind of filter on their BIG mouths. If you worked with some one who you knew was not PG and she was gaining weight, would you walk up to her and say "WOW, you look huge!" of course not. I guess I just get upset when people think pregnancy grants them a free pass to act like a moron and say things they would never say to a non-preggo. Kinda like when strangers touch your belly, its just an invasion of personal space and rude. I think that is why I for one get upset when people say things like this. Having other people feel that they can be rude to me is not "part of pregnancy", but that's just IMO.

I had that comment when I wasn't pregnant with twins...People s.u.ck. sometimes.
Depending on your level of sarcasm, you could counter with a snide "You know you're probably right, I am going to be huge. It's probably not going to be worth it at all - especially after all I've been through."
One other comment I've heard twin moms complain about is "Better you than me!" to which you need to realize for the sake of babies, people that say that shouldn't have twins - so "You're right! Better me than you!" would be a good answer.
Diane - do you have a list of twin websites?? I have a bunch. If you are interested, FM me.

Don't llisten to them. You know what, every PG lady feels HUGE...twins or not. And DH will love you even more bc you're carrying his babies!!

I think you learn alot about friends , family and people in general after becoming pregnant - you learn who the sincere ones are and you learn fast about the ones you don't want to be around for their stupid comments and inconsiderate actions.
