hi hun.. oh i already have my own apartment-- but my bf is moving into his own place... he lived in ohio for 5 yrs then is staying with his folks until he found a place he loved--so hes moving to a studio apartment in NJ.. but i cant recall all the new stuff i needed to startg over cause of course im helping him..but nope to answer ur question we r not moving in together--i need some bling bling b4 i ever do that again with a guy lol

Hi Michi!
Where is your bf moving to? There have been so many great suggestions here! I just moved so here is what I think is essential for the first few days. Many of these have already been said so sorry!

*toilet paper (as someone already said, you do need to wipe your azz!)
*paper towels (for cleaning and hand wiping)
*hand vac (for vacuuming out drawers, etc.)
*clorox wipes
*lysol
*rubber gloves for cleaning
*bathroom cleaner (depending on where he moves, you might want to get the industrial strength stuff!)
*windex (I like the multi-purpose stuff)
*upright vacuum (if he has carpets), otherwise for hardwood floors, a stick vac works just fine
*If he has hard floors, swiffer (my best friend!!!)
*garbage bags (both kitchen size as well as the black ones)
*paper cups, plates and plastic silverware (at least for day 1 until the real stuff is purchased or unpacked)
*garbage cans
*broom, mop, bucket and dustpan
*shower, hand, body towels, wash cloths
*bathroom mat (and accessories like shower curtain, toothbrush holder, soap dish, cup, garbage)
*bedroom furniture and curtains
*laundry detergent and bouce
*dishwashing soap and sponges
*shelf liners for the kitchen (not the sticky stuff - that attracts roaches. He can get the kind that is more like a rug liner so there is some cushion betweek the glasses, etc and the shelf itself)
*if he's jewish, a mezuzzah (you should get him that as a gift

And most importantly, a pic of his beautiful gf!

first of all that list is awesome, thank you and omg that mezuzzah is an awesome gift!!!!! I hafta get him one!!! (yes hes jewish, he will love that) he is moving to fort lee NJ...he works in NJ so this will make his commute soo much better
