Going for the 15 week sono tomorrow...Can I get some
COOPERATION VIBES??? Let's hope Baby Fegg will be very active at 8am tomorrow...I'm even considering drinking some Pepsi on the way there!
I have devised a plan, I am going to make a sign for each of us "Mommy thinks it's a ___" one for Daddy and one for Aunt Vicki.
I have an outfit for a boy or a girl and neutral booties so when (and if) the tech is ready to tell us, I'm making everyone shut their eyes, the tech will hold up the proper "prop"!

I have my 19 week sonogram tomorrow evening, and hoping the same thing - That our Bean shows it's stuff. lol! Everyone keeps telling me to drink OJ about 1/2 an hour before the appointment. I hope it works!

Hopefully the tech can get a good look to see what the baby is...I heard that 15 weeks might be too early to see what the baby is....

Shana - my girlfriend is a sono tech and said they do not determine the sex until you are 18 weeks so dont be disappointed. At that point the genetalia is developed and more visible to the tech.
When I was preggo with Ava I had a sono at 16 weeks and had asked if they could tell and the tech said not until 18 weeks - trust me, I begged LOL.

When I had a sono at 14 weeks, the tech said she could have determined the sex to 80% accuracy. We did not want to know though...

I was scanned at 14 weeks by the techs at my job and my little one's winkie was as clear as day!!!... They told me since i was on the "thin" side and didnt have alot of gas they were able to tell earlier. Usually they say by 18 weeks they get a much clearer pic of genatalia but i guess i was lucky... that and i think my son is well endowed! haha.. My husband is so proud!... good luck Shana.. let us know.... .....

A friend of mine was told @ 16 weeks it was a boy...and then at 20 they realized they were wrong and it was a girl...(she was born last thursday)
So I know that accuracy rate is true...
however...

Thank you everyone...we go at 8am tomorrow (wed).
I asked the sono tech at my first sono "How early have you been able to tell the sex?" and she responded "12 weeks was the earliest" (I was asking her personally from her experience). I told her that my sis would be here this week (15 weeks) and could we come in and try to tell and she said we'd try.
Also, "Your Pregnancy, Week By Week" starts say at 12 weeks, the genitalia is developed and in week 14 "Sexula development continues. It is becoming easier to determine male from female by looking at external genitalia, which are more developed."
I know it might not be accurate or we might not be able to tell....but it's worth a try!
