I can finally come here and ask a million questions about my little one and my first question is to moms of girls....
What do you use to change your little girls diaper, powder, desitin, balmex, vaseline, nothing.. TIA...

Vaseline on the diaper itself. I only use Desitin on her butt if she looks more red then usual.

Welcome to the board!!  I don't use anything actually... that's what they recommended to me in the hospital and so far, no diaper rashes or irritations...

i just use balmex when i change diapers. if she gets a rash (which is rare), i then use zinc oxide, and it works like a charm.

Welcome!
Up until about 6 weeks we used vaseline when we changed her, After that we switched to balmex and she has never had a rash or any redness. From what I understand it is not good to use powder in the diaper area.....

I've tried all different brands but I agree that Balmex works best for Maddie. She has very sensitive skin.

Same here.

I used to use Desitin until she got a tummy virus and started to get all red, then the doc suggested Aquaphor and it worked miracles, the red was gone within hours...
I usually use it after a poopy, not so much if it's just peepee

balmex for my lil girl. if she gets a bad rash, then i use plain zinc oxide and it clears up within hours.
