When I was 17. I worked at Swezeys in the gift section, with all the beany babies and precious moment and those ceramic christmas villages. I worked there during teh Christmas season. I wanted to DIE. Plus my manager was a wench. I hated her!
It was crazy, it was when beanie babies were like all the rage, people would line up outside to beat the sh!t outta of eachotehr when the doors opened so they could get the new ones.

I worked for one summer at Alexanders Department store. It was so ghetto and I think a third to half of the cashiers were stealing from them. It was truly awful.

I worked at a fast food Italian place for a few months...I hated it! They closed after only 5 months.

Being a bridal consultant and selling wedding dresses. I didn't like the ethics that this place had....I only lasted about 2 months.

Telemarketing in college for a so called "charity". Ppl were so mean on the phone and then I quit when I realized they were calling elderly ppl back twice trying to scam them that lasted 2 wks...

A few jobs ago..

I left my very established, respectable, job-secure lawfirm to make a "money move" and join an upstart, satellite office of a european lawfirm... it was , in a word, AWFUL

.. every week I wasn't sure if we were going to be paid, the managing partner was a horrible man (he was too busy running out to meet his mistress to address the issues at the office ) The office manger was a BEATCH to beat all beatches... the working conditions were horrible, and I was treated like crap

The only 'bright side" is that I met my current boss at this firm.. when the firm "went under" he took me with him as his secretary to our last firm, and then took me with him to my current firm.. I was with him when he was just a 20something young attorney and now he's a big shot managing partner, but he's been loyal to me and I am lucky to have a found a silver lining from that horrible job!

Glendale Bakery, 16 years old. I would go to work at 3 a.m. while my friends were still in the park hanging out.

I worked in the vault of a trust company that handled the physical certificates for the stocks on the stock exchange. I spent the morning filing certificates by cusip number that transferred in and the afternoon was spent pulling certificates to be transferred out.

good god it was a long summer.

I was always a hard working kid but I HATED it.

I worked for this company that's a candy/cigarette distributor out of Farmingdale. If you see those HLA trucks anywhere, that was the place. Totally blew big balls.

The place was FILTHY!! There were mice/roaches all over. The bosses were the biggest pack of a-holes going. They were so abusive it wasn't even funny. They would scream at you, they would scream at each other. They treated their workers like crap. You weren't allowed to do ONE THING personal even if there was down time (not that there ever was). Forget about using the phone (even during a family emergency). They would dock your time if you were on the phone more than two minutes.

The H/R Specialist was this trailer living, toothless, overprocessed hair old hag who never used spellcheck on any professional forms the place sent out. She'd have open conversations about her way too TMI sex life.

The hours were terrible and I was miserable from day 1. I think I lasted four months???

My current job! My boss is narcissistic. lazy, knows nothing- basically, she's a joke!! It's unbelievable really- I have to get out of here!
