MY Stop Smoking Hypnosis review
In case anyone is interested...
i think it worked. Not 100% but a LOT.
Background- I have smoked 1 pack a day for about 15 years now...I wanted to quit before getting PG and because Im SCARED of dying from heart disease/cancer etc...
So the hypnosis I went to was a group session..I wasnt sure if it worked, felt like I needed one afterwards..I didnt give in...and so far I would have to say it "somewhat" worked.
I smoked 4 on Saturday, 4 yesterday and 4 today. Now thats a HUGE accomplishment...With NO nicotine replacements. I have tried it all, the patch , the inhaler, Zyban ..ALL of them together and nothing..so the fact that being hypnotized reduced me to 4 a day is AMAZING, and I have to say Im very proud of myself...
While I do not yet feel I can do it "cold turkey"..Im setting small goals...Like no more then 4 a day, and Im moving on to a pack a WEEK versus a pack a day. Im finding it much easier then quitting all together...and to be honest I do not smoke the whole cigerette and it tastes GROSS, yet just smoking it seems to get me through 6-7 hours, where I used to smoke ONCE an hour at a minimum...
So wish me luck...Im hoping this time next month I will be 100% smoke free!

Congratulations!!!!
What a great thing you're doing, not just because you're TTC, but for your general health.
I'm sure it's very hard, but you're a strong woman and you'll kick this habit to the curb.

Congrats! I totally understand what a huge accomplishment that is and how hard it is.
I quit on 3/29 cold turkey (which was so hard).
Keep it up! And keep thinking about how good your hair will smell!

Good luck! It's a very difficult thing you are doing. I know, I tried many times and couldn't do it. Then I quit like six years ago and kept it down to a few if I was out drinking. Now I haven't had one in about a year.....but I still crave when I go out.

Yeah Donna!!! That's great news....DH did this and he quit gradually like you are...said the taste was gross and he used to love it. He is smoke free for nearly 3 years now....stick to it and keep up the good work

Congrats on your accomplishments!!! I am working towards completely quitting as well. I do a fine job during the week but once Friday and happy hour comes along, I need one cig which eventually becomes a pack. I am doing this cold turkey and using somewhat of a "mind over matter" method. I have come to the point that I realize I completely hate smoking;it's harder for me to breathe, tastes and smells disgusting etc..... BUT, smokers do have that physical addiction which is sooooo hard to kick. Be very proud of yourself, you are on your way. These little steps do matter. Glad the hypnosis helped somewhat.

It seemed to increase after the first 3-4 days. Still listening to the CDs I bought at night, and I do feel a TON of guilt for smoking. Looking to go for a private session...because I DO believe it works...

As long as the increase wasn't what you were smokling before - you are doing good. Lots of Luck! It is VERY hard to quit. I quit 3 years ago this August 8. And DH smokes so it was HARD!!!
