Public school in Tennessee. We learnt how to read and sypher. I learnt all kinds of things like the world is round and that we do not come from monkeys and that just cause he's your cousin don't mean ya can't marry him.
ETA: Actually I recieved a great education.

Public Schools.
My mom gave me a choice of Catholic School or Public when I was going into first grade (when we moved) and i chose public since I didn't want to wear a uniform.

I went to a co-ed Catholic school.
It was like going to HS in a bubble 
If anything bad happend they swept it under the rug, or kicked the person out to maintain the "nothing is EVER wrong at this school" mentality.
