My favorite thing is the diversity. The theatre, the ZAGAT restaurants, the shopping, there just is no place like it in the US.

I would move to Florida TOMORROW if DH would go. Most of my family has moved down there - my mom's been down there for over 9 years already!!!! I love the weather and don't think we'll EVER be able to afford a house here!

Lucky!!! Where in Florida - I would like to move to South Florida - prob near my family in Boca Raton. Although we were on the West Coast of Florida for the first time last weekend and it was beautiful!!!

Loved where my uncle lives in Orlando..its not "touristy" at all-I loved it when I went there a couple of times

Leaving it every chance I get!! I have to say..I do not like it here!! Its too cold, too much traffic, too expensive..I could go on and on and on!! I want to move to Florida!!

The pace of life. I lived in Boston and southern Massachusetts, and the pace of life is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow compared to here, and that was part of my reason for wanting to move back so badly.

No!! His business is here and we're sorta stuck here until his dad retires and he can sell the business!! I just have to keep taking trips down there to keep me happy. We are leaving Monday night for Florida for a week...so for one week I'll be in my glory!!

There are so many things. I am a NY gal through and through. Most importantly, my family and friends are almost all here. I love Broadway, all the cultural events, the diversity of people (& food!), the shopping...everything!

A cold front is coming in and it's in the 70's. Yet I am still walking around in a tank top and open toe shoes
Living in FL I do realize what my favorite things about living in NY were. CONVENIENCE!!!
Everything you needed or wanted was at your finger tips. Buses and trains on the same block, diners that are open 24 hours, drug stores on every corner, the bank and post near each other, shopping, everything right there. It truely is the city that never sleeps.
The bars close at 2am, and the sherifs are right outside waiting for the drunks to get behind the wheel so they can pull them over. The only place open 24 hours is Mels diner and Steak and Shake. Hurricane comes through every town is on curfew for at least a month. To get anywhere you need a car. The supermarket is only open from 7am - 9pm and that is 3.5 miles from my house. The only place 24 hours that if you needed anything: Wal-Mart.
I miss the convenience of having the supermarket right across the street from me, the post office 2 blocks from me, the bank 3 blocks away, a diner 5 blocks from me, pizza place with good pizza next to the bank, buses and trains. Parkways and expressways that if you are stuck in traffic you have alternate routes, side streets and back streets.
I miss the convenience.
But I'll take everyday living in warm weather and NO SNOW over the convenience

I love NY around Christmas time. It might sound really touristy but I love to go look at the tree at Rockefeller and watch the ice-skaters.

I have lived in other places and IMO, no place compares to NY. I love:
the diversity
cultural events and places NY has to offer
people say what they mean
the city never sleeps - and even in the suburbs, you can always find a diner or something open to eat or get coffee
