Re: If you were at a party, and were told that you were served beef, but it was really pork

I would be upset - unless it was a mistake than I would understand - but if it wasn't how dare they serve me something i didn't order.

could it have been an honest mistake? perhaps the host(ess) was preoccupied when he/she said this. IMO, there is a definite taste difference.

I would think it was a mistake on either the host's part or the waiter and if I wasn't happy with it, I'd ask for something else. But I wouldn't hold it against anyone. I'd get over it. Not that big a deal to me.

I'd be upset, especially since I don't like pork that much.

No, for DH's party, I used my left over invitations to make menues. My contract says that dinner will be "stuffed tenderloin" and "1/2 spring hen"

I mentioned when I booked, that I didn't want to serve pork because I invited people who can't eat pork for religious reasons. Now, those people might not attend, BUT my cousin (the BM) is really trying to push pork instead of beef.

I'm just thinking "how can I do that without having to throw out the menues I printed? I printed menues that say "stuffed BEEF tenderloin" along with the other courses.

So, it's settled- I'll just have to beat him up if he doesn't serve the beef Chat Icon

Chat Icon or you can just tell him that some people are allergic to pork and that he CANNOT serve it at all!!!

and if THAT doesn't work, then beat 'em up!!! Chat Icon
