My best friends brother is going to Jail
My best friends brother was recently found guilty of a crime... it was in self defense but the jury did not see it that way.
He is in prison right now and leaves behind his whole family who he supports ( and he is only 22) and his newlywed wife of 6 months 
I don't even know how his family will make ends meet without him
I want to help my friend but I just don't know what to do or say...

I am sorry to hear this. I would suggest helping by offering to cook or clean for them. You may not feel like it's much, but they probably won't be up for doing much right now

Well luckily he had just bought a house... so his mom and little brother and sister are moving in there with his wife. ( He paid his moms rent and without him she can't afford it)
My bestfriend is now working like crazy to make more money to help out... if anyone needs their hair done let me know! She is an amazing hair dresser.

He wasn't wrongfully convicted.. he did commit the crime.. but it was in self defense and I don't think he should have to do time....
he got 4 1/2 years.
Not a long time but when you are a newlywed and trying to start your life it is....
Its also a long time for his family that really depends on him.

I am so sorry. This happened to someone VERY close to me years ago and its just not fair. It's sad you can't even defend or protect yourself, without being punished for it. Just be there for your friend, someone for her to talk to and vent to. See if she needs company when she takes the trips to see him. Offer to make some food for them or invite them over for dinner. I really am sorry.

Im very sorry..
Sometimes life happens and good people make mistakes or even if it wasnt a mistake, pay more then should...I dont know the circumstances...and I think those asking should please respect your post by not wanting to say, thats not what this was about...
4 and 1/2 years is a pretty light sentance, I hope he can appeal or maybe get parole a little earlier.
MY BIL was set up , and went to jail for something he knew about but the people who did it blamed him...It was not involving another person though...But he got 6 years and was out in less then 3 ...SO I hope all goes well.

Yes that correct. But the papers didn't even report the correct story. The failed to mention that he was stabed with his OWN knife after my best friends brother got it away from him.

you said your gf does hair ...one of the girls over on LIW's was having troble getting in touch for the hairdresser for the wedding tomorrow and the girl is willing to pay
you should get over to those boards and contact the girl
