Please say a little pray for my friend and her husband
My good friend who was also my matron of honor could use a lot of prayers right now. Her husband who was also our best man has been in ICU since new years eve. He has acute pancreatitus (sp).
Things were really looking great and he was suppose to be in his own room by the end of the week.
I got a call tonight from her that he had to be put on a trake and the stupid doctor didnt realize that her husband is 6'2" and has a large neck would need a longer trake. Because the trake was small he lost a lot of oxygen to his lungs and brain. His left lung collasped and he may have brain damage. The hospital is running tests to see how sever if any. Monday night he went code blue 3 times in one hour.  The doctors had to perform CPR and massage his heart. They almost called it after the second code. The priest had to come and give him his last rights and she was preparing to loose him.
Today she said an absolute miracle happened. He woke up, moved his hands, wiggled his toes, moved his legs and showed true signs of life. Something doctors didnt think would happen for a while.
Please keep her and her husband in your prayers because a miracle like this is what will bring him home a lot sooner. He's been in ICU for almost a month.

My prayers are with you. I was in the hospital last year for 2 months with a severe case of pancreatitis, after my two months in the hospital I came home still on a liquid diet that I ate through tube they surgically put in my chest, It was a really long haul but I went in December 23rd and by April/May I started to feel better, It wasn't until about oct/nov of this year that they told me I could start eating a normal diet, I was on all low/no fat foods. my docs told me in the hospital that there was a chance I wouldn't have made it, but I did and that it would take 3 days to 3 months to get better and then have to recoup from being so sick, they were right. What hospital is your friend in? I had a million other things wrong with me at the time b/c of the pancreatitis, so if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
