the point is she was a diehard met fan growing up
that smile was a genuine smile, it was not forced.
which means
you can take the fan away from the mets, but you can't take the mets out the fans
so despite all her hatred, deep down in her subconcious, she is a met fan at heart

well perhaps a part of this is TRUE .. BUT I do think that Red's smile is hiding the pain of having to wear that jersey
I do believe that in reality, Red saw the truth .. she moved away from the dark side... and now lives happily in Yankeeland, where ALL (even former Mets fans) are welcome 
So Bedda, Don -- its not too late for you guys either! IF you ever want to take a road trip to the Bronx and join us, you are more than welcome

ummm thanks but no thanks Felicia... I have no interest in joining the "dark side"...LOL I have taken a road trip to the bronx. I went to a subway series game there 2 years ago, the neighborhood is scary... so I definitely don't want any more road trips there...
I am never leaving my boys...i'm sticking with them through good times and bad (lord knows we have plenty of the bad ones)
Felicia I said the same thing to DH who used to be a yankee fan growing up. I told him that thank god he saw the light and left the "evil empire"...I told him I wouldn't have accepted his marriage proposal had he been a yankee fan...
