Please don't let her ruin your great news it is none of her business what either of your salaries are. She should realize each time either of you get a raise and/or a promotion it helps you both.

Congrats on your raise! The less your MIL knows about your money and your DH's money....the better. That's a personal issue and she doesn't need to know about it....especially with that attitude!

We are living in 2005 not 1945....maybe she doesn't like the fact that you are making a lot of money and not being dependant on your DH. She will move on....CONGRATS...YOU GO GIRL!!!!!

It sounds like she doesn't have a very fulfilled life that she needs to comment on how you serve her son and how much money you make. She may even be a little envious of the freedom that you have and the respect you obviously command from people outside your home.
CONGRATS OF THE PROMOTION AND RAISE!!! That's great. Focus on that!!
