This is horrible.
I just have to tell you that this is the most horrible thing EVER. We just got back from the doctor and Emily has been crying for just about 2 hours straight now. I can't get her to calm down -- all the usual things just aren't working.
The doctor said it's definately Coxsackie -- that she doesn't have blisters but her throat is very swollen and red. She threw up all over the place in the doctor's office and the doc also said that she's got a lot of wax in her ears and thinks she's getting ear infections too.
I've never heard my little girl as miserable as she is. I was crying in the doctor's office too, I just couldn't help it.
I just tried to put her down for a nap but she's hysterical in there so I have to go take her out.
I hate this so much.

Hugs to you and Emily... I remember with Alex the only thing that calmed her down was to rest on me, so I literally slept in the recliner with her on my chest for 3 days straight... not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it helped. Maybe Emily just needs to cuddle with you for a day or so? Hang in there... this too shall pass

I'm so sorry Melissa . I think a walk sounds like a good idea. It's beautiful out and maybe the walk will calm her down and help her to fall asleep. I hope Emily feels better

I've done the same to comfort mine. When they're sick all rules go out the window.
