Mrs J, nah, cant retract bid and get bad feedback so Ill just **** it up. but, now that I know walmart.com has some really cute things - Ill check there first :) someone else fouind a really nice glider and ottoman on target.com for much cheaper than a lot of other places. thanks for your info though!! Dawn

We used a bassinet for 5 months...and I was so sorryto have to put it away. I think ds still misses it. It was so cozy in there. ( at least i miss the rocking part..you can't rock a crib)

We'll use the crib for daytime naps and then a bassinet at night. I don't want to have to get out of bed everytime I hear the baby cry.

We are using a cradle--I am a nervous and want the baby right next to our bed.

i definitely vote for a bassinet - you can probably borrow one from someone - when the baby is only a week or two old, they make all sorts of noises, I'd bet you'd be up and down 100 times a night checking on them if they are in a different room

We borrowed one from our friends. I agree it's a waste of money but having the baby right on the side of your bed in the middle of the night was very convenient and comforting.
I too have borrowed one from a friend...
