Ok, I'm a really bad boss & didn't realize it was today until I got in. It would be too obvious for me to go get her flowers now. If I let her leave at 3pm, what do you think???
The truth is I don't want to take her to lunch bc I really think she's a bs artist & it would be hard to sit through for an hour.
I can tell you if I got to leave at 3:00 - that would be THE BEST GIFT!!!!!
I think I got flowers last year- nothing today. Oh, well.

I just got a gift from my boss - the other attorney told him so they bought me a joint gift. I don't think it's too late at all.

Hmmm I don['t have an Admin Asst since I left my old job and started on my own - but should I get something for the girl who used to be my admin asst? We are good friends and I recently treated her to a nicht in NYC (she was up from MIami).
I will have to tell DH to get his something... I know he won't tho....only because he;s so busy and works like 12 hours traight no lunch... never mind getting a gift..

I got nothing, same as the other admins around me. But I did get a gift 2 weeks ago for a project well done -a Coach wristlet...to be honest, i forgot it was today until I heard it on the radio today.

Out of my 3 bosses, one gave me flowers. The executive I work for didn't even acknowledge it, but he did ask if I can work late I wouldn't hold my breath for him to tell me he appreciates me.
My company gave a gift certificate to Lord & Taylor, and some other people gave us sandwiches from Mangia and brownies from Cucina.
Now that I read my post over, I shouldn't be so cynical: my bosses always give me birthday and Christmas gifts and they gave me wonderful wedding gifts and I know they appreciate me. But, it would have been nice if he at least acted normal for the day
