Do I have a LIRR story for you!
I have read so many stories on here from all of you NYC commuters. Now I have one of my own to add.
Let me start out by saying that each and every one of you commuters should be sainted! I honestly have no idea how you deal with that GOD forsaken train every day  
So I'm on the train this AM, last train during the peak hours. an Asian woman is sitting across from me on her cell phone from Ronkonkoma all the way to Hicksville, until a young guy sitting next to her told her to shut up because he's trying sleep.
WELL let me tell you, this woman started SCREAMING at him "you no tell me to shut up, you say bad word! you shut up, not me shut up". this went on for a good 5 minutes! he said "all I ask is that you have consideration for others, this is not your office, this is a public train". so everyone started clapping and laughing. she starts again "I was on a business call, you no talk to me that way". he said shhhhhhhhhh! she said "NO! you shhhhhhhhhhh" back and forth, back and forth.
OMG it was HILARIOUS  finally some nice guy offered to switch seats with him and all was quiet, FINALLY!

I can't believe how incosiderate people are. Most people are pretty good on Metro North. The conductors frequently make announcements about talking in the vestibules, and will even ask people to speak in lower voice or move into the vestibule.

the only time I saw any MTA employees was when they came around for tickets. all the LIRR complaints lead me to believe that they really don't give a poop. and they make zero announcements about keeping it down.

that happens all the time.
it is so unbelievably rude when people talk on the phone SO LOUD on the train with no consideration for others.

That is awesome. I hate loud talkers...whether they are on a cell phone or talking to a friend it is totally rude. Once I jumped in on the convo just to be a b#&@* & the girls was like ,"um excuse me this is a PRIVATE conversation." So I said, oh really, cuz you were talking loud enough for the whole entire train to hear." People were clapping & laughing at them. She got so pissy that she & her friend (&their 8000 shopping bags) got up & moved.

I would bet a $1000 bucks that my BIL was the one yelling at the asian woman. He commutes from Ronkonkoma every day and has ZERO tolerance..hahaha I will have to ask him today.

my mom told me yesterday she was on line at DD's to get coffee. this woman was in front of her on her phone talking about some guy she's screwing 
my mom said everyone in the store was staring at her. COME ON! what if there were kids around? NO ONE wants to hear the intimate details of her sex life

I take the train every single day from Central Islip. I completely understand. She probably wasn't even a commuter, probably just a day traveller, they are the worst!
