more food questions - table food meal suggestions.
A month or so back I was complaining that Talia wasn't eating baby food (never did!) and that I was going to start her on finger foods...well she loves it, picked up on it right away and is totally feeding herself. (yay!!) So -it's been about a month - and I need some new ideas for meals...it has to be something she can pick up with her hands - she won't eat anything mushed...here is what I have given her...looking for ANY other creative ideas.
Egg yolk
yogurt
cheese
waffle
bread
chicken
ground beef
carrots
sweet potatoes
banana
Avacado
pastina
ABC pasta
chicken noodle soup (minus the soup)
cheerios
potato
turkey
what else can I try?

my daughter LOVES the "puff" things I think they are gerber they come all flavors sweet potato and tehy have fruit flavored ones also.

How about whatever you're having for dinner, cut up small? I never went for the idea of giving them separate meals.

Oh I forgot to mention I give her puffs, and rice, and cous cous.
Barbara - I am totally with you - I usually give her what we are eating, I guess I am looking for some more ideas (for us too!!)

pancakes
toast (with butter or jelly)
peas
broccoli florets
spinach
beans (green, pinto, black, etc)
cut fruit (canned peaches, pears, etc)
meatballs/meatloaf
mac and cheese
elbows or orzo or tubelini type pasta with butter and parm cheese
rice
peeled and cut up grapes
any kind of pasta with red sauce (fav of my son)
My son basically eats what I do for dinner but those are some things not on your list that I feed him.

Usually whatever I make for dinner. She loves chickpeas with rice, roast beef, mashed sweet potatoes, spinach, artichoke, strawberries, pancakes, waffles.
