What vacation plans do you have for the summer?
We're taking a two week roadtrip. One week in Texas, one week in Myrtle Beach. I love S/C! Can't wait for the cheesy pictures at South of the Border!

I am going to Philadelphia for a long weekend. Live8 and the fourth of july with Elton John
Then a cruise to bahamas, just girls
DH is going to Yosemite with my brother and sister
Then Niagra Falls, convinent trip, also dropping my sister off at Buffalo State
I better start doing more OT

Is there anything good to see in Tennessee? We're trying to make that one of our stops, since we're trying to see as much of the country as we can. We're thinking of stopping in Oaklahoma to see the Murrah Building memorial.

I have family that moved there. they live near Nashville so I guess we will be touring that!!  You could always go and visit Graceland in Mephis...although I heard it isnt worth the money for the tour...but I guess if you are a die hard elvis fan it would be!! 
Are you driving to Texas??

Thanks for the info. Yes, we're driving Totally nutso idea with a one year old but hubby won't listen and well, he'll learn through hands on experience that taking her anywhere further than 10-15 miles is NOT a good idea! I really hope she can deal...she's normally the best kid but I think after a few days she's going to freak out.

We went last year and had a blast, so this year with the concerts should be even better have fun

2 1/2 days if we do 12 hour days. We've flown a hundred times but we've never really seen the country per say. Plus, I want to bring my sis a ton of baby things for her expected little one and it's a pain to lug all that stuff around an airport. It's going to be torture. My biggest fear (outside of an unhappy baby) is running into some unexpected Tornadoes

It's a long drive but so worth it and it doesn't even feel like you are driving for that long because you make stops in different places along the way to see different things!!

We're going to take local trips. Last week weekend we went to the Bronx Zoo and next weekend we're going to Splish Splash and after that do the aquarium and stuff like that.

Oh yeah, I forgot I am going to FL too. I will be there the same time. I leave 6/23 and return 6/28 - I will be in Tampa.

Tennessee is beautiful!!!! The Great Smokey Mountain National Park is just stunning!!! Nashville is a fun little place to stop off. Memphis you can go see the ducks at the Peabody hotel and Beale Street. Forget Graceland unless you are an Elvis fan.
