DH's only intrest in football season, is that he likes to pick up Sunday afternoon shifts at the bar. He would never watch it though.

Same here, but do I like to hear of the scores and I'm trying to get into it. I'll sit and watch bits and pieces, but I find it so hard to follow. I do LOVE baseball though.
Well thats the general idea. I think people would enjoy football more if they knew "the rules" and how things work.
Thats what my wife is trying to do... learn why teams have to "decline a penalty"... learn the reasoning behind an "onside kick"... learn the reason why teams don't always "go for it" on 4th down.
Stuff like that.

I don't mind it, but my DH is not from NY and his team is seldom televised. So when he is in front of the TV I don't mind getting a chance to have a little time to myself.

i am in the minority I guess. I LOVE football.. Have been watching it ever since I was a little girl. Used to have Super Bowl parties with my grandpa and watch the game. It was great!
