When I was working...

Up at 7:00, turn on WB11 news (now it's CW11)
Brush teeth, shower, make-up, hair, make bed, get dressed, let Deniro out, and then I am off to work..

Now that I am home,,same routine just wake up a little later...

Alarm goes off at 6:10 - got up 6:20 - shower, get dressed, feed cat, handwash dishes that DH left in sink last night , tidy up apt, kiss DH goodbye, head out at 6:50, stop at Starbucks for tea, get to work at 7:25AM

he gets up when it goes off again @ 6:26

he goes in bathroom, does his business

when he comes out, i go in there, pee, brush teeth, hair, do my makeup

get on train b/w 6:55 and 7:00-get to work @7:40

DH leaves at 6:30 and Ebony comes in bed with me. Cuddle for a little bit, fall back to sleep.

Get up at 8:20 - or later if I feel like it. Shower, watch Fox 5 while I dress. Make a cup of tea (no more coffee) and breakfast.

Read the paper on the deck while I have breakfast and throw the ball for Ebony.

Go to work 9:10 - 9:30.

The alarm goes off at 5:05 AM for DH....I remain sleeping....he showers and gets ready for work and leaves for the train at 5:45.

I get up at 6:25, make the bed, shower, eat, take out food from the freezer for dinner that night, watch the news...leave for work at 8:05.

Get up at 7:25am... take dog out, chop up collard greens for the lizard, change the bird's water and food, feed and change the dog's water. Make myself a mug of chocolate milk and read my emails. Get into the shower, then get dressed, put gel/mousse in my hair, do make-up, blow dry my hair. Leave house for work at 9:10am.

i get up at 6:30 and feed and dress the baby. then i wake up colin my oldest and feed him breakfast and then give him a shower and get him dressed. then i wake up gavin and do the same. then we go to colin's busstop and when he gets picked up i drive gavin to school. by the time i am done and home. Spencer wants to eat breakfast and then take a nap. then i can make myself coffee and relax!!!!!

Not my usual morning but here it goes:

5am - wake up in a panic because I didn't make lunch for my kindergartner
5:30am - kindergartner wakes up, get him pre-breakfast while breakfast is warming up, make lunch, AM Snack & PM Snack
5:50am - tell kindergartner to get dressed
6am - discover kindergartner butt-naked dancing in kitchen
6:02am - discover he has another kid's pants from school - "Who is Kyle & where are YOUR pants?"
6:10am - write note to the teacher about missing shoe & pants
6:15am - wrestle kindergartner into a shirt
6:16am - challenge him to a "Who can get dressed faster?" contest (showers are the night before)
6:20am - I've won, finish dressing him, threaten to take his sword away for a day if he doesn't get his pants on immediately
6:21am - Take sword away, get him dressed
6:22am - try to wake toddler with Abba's Dancing Queen. dress her in her sleep.
6:25am - wake toddler with music & we dance into the kitchen for her breakfast
6:40am - take my stuff to the car, convince everyone to go potty
6:50am - take their stuff to the car while they run around our front yard to my shout-whispering for them to be quiet because our neighbors are sleeping
7am - Drive toddler to Daycare
7:05am - Have car idle in front of Toddler's classroom so Toddler can throw kisses & wave out the window to Kindergartner & I .
7:15am - Wait at the bus stop with Kindergartner. Put makeup on as we wait. Challenge him to a "Hands on a Hard Body Contest" while we wait at the bus stop. Try to come up with creative answers to his "why?" questions
7:30am - Bus comes, buckle him, give kiss goodbye, wave to him. Cast a good long look at the bus driver in case I need to track him down & kill him at a later date.
7:35am -Catch train
8:45am - Change at Jamaica
8:50am - Get breakfast
9:00am - at my desk

545 - alarm goes off - i press snooze 5 times

630- dh and i jump out of bed

631-640- ill tidy the kitchen, then look at my closest- decide i have nothing to wear so i will ponder it over my shower

641-652 shower, brush teeth

652-700 - back to the closet- i hate my clothes, but pick somethng out anyway

700-705 - iron what i picked out, then hate what i picked out, so i grab something else and iron it

706-707- throw foundation on and blush and tweeze brows

707-712- dry hair and dh heads off to the gym and we say goodbye..he pulls away because he is late himself and i grab him again anyway :)

713-717- clean rings, pick out shoes and belt and earrings/necklace for the day

718- out the door - run to my car- SHIIT- im late already - drive off like a bat out of hell

738 - arrive at work- late as usual - grab a cup of coffee

745- head to the bathroom to finish my makeup

800- officialyl start working (still hate my outfit)


(im supposed to be at the office -LATEST 715- but im ALWAYS LATE!)

I wake up at 5:30 AM throw the remote ( okay gently toss it.) at DH, I have to get right up, or I will fall asleep, take a shower, get dressed , blow out my hair put on make up eat and out the door I go by 7 AM. If it is my day off that is another story- I try to sleep in unless I have a million things to do!

I get up at 7:45am, turn on cartoons for my DS, make him breakfast (usually cereal)in the shower by 8am, then eat my b-fast while I am getting dressed, do my hair, get my son dressed and ready for the babysitters.

Out the door by 9:15-9:30am...I have to be at work by 10 and it's only 15 mins away from my house.

Heres how it goes:

7:35-Alarm goes off, Snooze
7:50-Alarm goes off again, Snooze
8:05-8:10- Look at clock, ok time to get up.
8:10- Get in Shower
8:20-Take dog out after shower.
then blow dry hair, take 5-10 min tops
Tiptoe into our dungeon of a bedroom to get dressed and try not to wake DH( who probably just walked in about 2 hrs before from work).
8:35-brush teeth, place contacts in,...start makeup
8:45-8:50-Leave for work.
9:01-Arrive at work.

6:45 - Wake -up at FH house
6:55 - Home from FH house

In the shower by 7:00, out of the shower by 7:20,

Do make-up and hair(I curl my hair in the warm weather - thats why it only takes 20 minutes to do - in the winter I shower and do my hair at night because it takes to long to dry) - done by 7:40, get dressed and head downstairs by 8:00

Make lunch and feed cats, out the door by 8:15.

Sit on the LIE for 30minutes, pull into Dunkin Donuts parking lot by 8:45, at my desk by 8:55

6:30amish - wake up to "hoLA, hoLA, hoooollllaaaaa" getting increasingly louder in the monitor; ignore Jake saying hi in Spanish for a few minutes

6:33 - go to bathroom, carrying video monitor in hand and watch Jake dance in his crib

6:35 - brush teeth, shower, throw something on (not work clothes yet)

6:50 - open Jake's bedroom door and get greeted by a huge smile; he hands me his binky and various other items from his crib, then we play while I get him dressed

7:00 - make breakfast for and feed Jake; make some coffee for me

7:15 - leave Jake for a minute to go wake DH

7:20 - put Jake in jumperoo to watch Noggin while I go walk the dog and drink my cup of coffee

7:30 - take Jake out of jumperoo and bring him to the bedroom where I start putting on my makeup

7:31 - chase Jake down the hall and bring him back to the bedroom

7:32 - try to put on makeup

7:34 - put back all my lingerie in the drawer that Jake just opened and emptied (it's always the lingerie draw, never any others, why?)

7:37 - continue trying to do my makeup

7:38 - end up playing with Jake instead

7:45 - DH is FINALLY out of the shower
7:46 - DH is dressed and ready to go

7:47 - Ah, now I can surely finish putting on my makeup right? No, because now is when DH decides to tell me "oh btw, the sitter said she needs clothes, milk, diapers, wipes, and food - did you pack all that?"

7:55 - Dh says "Say goodbye to your son"

8:03 - we are now all done saying goodbye, DH leaves with Jake, he's running late and so am I

8:08 - FINALLY done putting on makeup, now do my hair, then get dressed

8:18 - put coffee thermos, put dog downstairs and out the door.

8:19 - realize I forgot something, go back in the house

8:20 - finally leave for work, running late

8:59 - walk through my office door just in time to hear the phone ringing

alarm goes off at 7:10 I snooze it until 7:25 get up, deal with the dog, get dressed, brush teeth, wash face and head to the train. I shower at night.

5:45 - alarm goes off, I switch it to radio without opening my eyes. Wait for DH to get out of bed before drifting back into a deep sleep.
6:15 - DH finishes showering and doing all his morning chores that I don't have to do because he wakes up first. Tells me to wake up.
6:20 - wait for the weather report, go to bathroom, shower, brush teeth.
6:40 - make bed, stare at closet wondering what to wear.
6:45 - wait for humidity report, if low enough then blow out hair otherwise it's curly.
7:10 - iron clothes
7:15 - get dressed, pick up clothes on the floor from the night before, straight up bedroom
7:30 - drink coffee, check email, pay bills, listen to news while reading LIF.
8:10 - leave for work.
