I'm in the same situation.

I have 4 girlfriends from college that I am close to & 1 moved home to Ct right after college, but we saw her occasionally, but she just had a baby, so we see her less & then one of the others move to Seattle over the Summer & another moved there in December & the only one here in NY may move back to Chicago in May.
She's been threateing it for a while, but now with everyone else gone, I think she really will.

A lot of my friends have left the state or will be leaving soon. It really stinks!

I know it stinks - but PA isn't too far. You know I would move to Florida if DH would - I would miss my friends terribly and it would tear me apart - but she has to do the right thing for her and her future, just like I would!

Jenn so sorry about your friend....I lived in Pa through college and a few years after....it does stink

I am sure that you are very happy for her, but at the same time she is someone you are close to and care about so you want them close to you. It's a normal feeling, I'm going through that now just that I'll be the one leaving.

When my bf announced she was moving to NC, I felt the same way (she eventually backed out).

Nancy made an excellent point about the big, empty house. My SIL keeps asking us to visit her in PA. We have yet to pile in the car & drive the four hours to get there. They were also completely unprepared for the snow and their new long driveway.
