Contractions every four minutes...
So I've been having contractions for over an hour, and I didn't think anything of it because they hurt, but no more than any period cramps I've ever had, so I started timing them at 7:38, and they've been coming every four minutes on the nose since then. I doubt it's the real thing, they hurt, but I'm still sitting here typing, so they're probably just BH. My question is, at what point do you call the dr.? I don't even know! I am sure I'm not having the baby because I doubt I could be lucky enough to meet her three weeks early!

OMG!!!! I am so excited!!!!!! You would think I was having the baby right this minute! Call the doctor now and just ask...it doesnt hurt to be sure of whats going on!!!!!!!! KEEP US UPDATED!!!!!!!!!

Ok, too funny, but JT just said, "I better go clean the bedroom incase you have this kid tonight! We can't bring her home to a dirty house!" 
I am sure they are just BH, but they are the most regular contractions I've had so far.
I mean, the dr. said they would feel like bad period cramps and to call if I can't sleep through them, but I'm not sleeping, so I don't know. Plus, I am used to having HORRIBLE period cramps when I'm not prego, so I have no gauge of what they'll feel like. I just keep thinking that if they were "real" contractions, I would just "know". And I don't feel like that.
So we'll see. I'll keep ya posted!

Yup, I'm over 37 weeks. Thanks for at least the clean house vibes. JT's furiously cleaning as we speak! HAHAHAHA

How cute of JT...I would be feeling the same way....actually, I would be outside cleaning out my car b/c you gotta get into it right from the hospital...

I'd call. With both of her kids my girlfriend didn't realize she was having real contractions and when she got to the hospital she was 5cm and 6cm dilated. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain.

Ok, just to update, I got up and was walking around a little, and while I'm a little crampy still, I am not really feeling the contractions too much anymore. I'm going to wait and see how I'm feeling in a little while.

I was going to suggest changing positions and drinking water. If they're BHs they should stop/change.
If they're the real deal, they should continue regardless of what you do.

When my contractions started I felt like I just ate something bad and eventually I realized that the cramping was coming pretty regularly... just keep timing them.. and it's good to keep the Dr. updated as to whats going on. I waited a while till I called and by the time I did call he was confused as to why I wasn't at the hospital already!!
I hope it's time!!
ETA - when they are really serious contractions... like when you have to stop walking to breathe through them... you're there baby!

My friend (Maybaby) was on the phone with me... telling me she had BH and they werent reg. I told her to call... and sure enough she was in labor and admitted right away!!!
You just never know!!

If you're in true labor, you'll wind up in the hospital soon enough No need to sit around in a hospital being monitored. Labor at home as long as you can. I was thrilled to show up at the hospital @ 5cm and @10cm.

I wouldn't call until they actually started to hurt. I had a few false alarms with Miranda, and when I called my doctor he always told be to go to the hospital but the first 3 times I got sent home. Trust me, if it was labor you would know.
