Have you ever been disgusted with all your friends? (long)

I am soooo disgusted with all my so-called close girl friends..

One friend I WAS really close to moved--since then I havent gotten one email/phone call from her, yet I sent her soooo many emails! THEN when she comes back to NY I am supposed to 'drop what im doing to hangout" uh why..u dont even kno whats happened in my life for the past 9 months!!

then my other friend, was going threw some bad stuff (pregnancy issues, hubby drama, job stuff)and i was there for her over and over again THEN it all resolved its self, her life is all "fabulous" again and she drops off the planet..Im mostly disappointed that she just chose to ignore me after I was there for her time and time again.

im so fed up of being the one to call,email, and check in to see if everyone is going ok and no1 even ASKS or calls to see how im doing...then the ultimate topper...

I have a friend from 7th grade. We do not have much in common but since we have known each other for so long I try to stay friendly with her.. She is always saying things that are just plain dumb...and this was the icing on the cake..lets call this 'friend" L..
L has a friend named B...B's dad was killed in a plane crash..L was talking to ME and made a comment how "B" has a perfect little life, with her perfect boyfriend and all her money to travel to Europe (b/c she got money from her dads death) I was INFURIATED mainly b/c this girl B has been threw alot, and I can guarantee that she would rather have her father back then the money to go Europe..

Now Im basically fed up with L b/c she had the ballz to say this to ME--(my dad died 5 yrs ago, and it was the worst time of my life) i was thoroughly offended b/c im sure if she looks at B with the perfect little life then she surely must think of me the same way...when in fact I had been threw alot of bad stuff, relationship wise, and with my dads passing, and i chose to be strong and get threw it, and make my life better--it wasnt handed to me on a silver platter ya know..

im just sooo disgusted, and im veto-ing all of my friends, so if any1 is interested in being my buddy there r numerous vacancies lol

I can understand what you are going through. I have a girlfriend that whenever she is going through problems with her boyfriend of eleven years that is when she constantly calls me but when everything is good she does not call. She came to NY like two months ago and could not even called to say hi and that she is town. Such friends I tell you but I try to place a distance between us. This is not how I consider a friendship should be. It happens just be calm.

Sounds like we've picked friends from the same crop I totally know what it's like to have friends just like that. When I found out I was pregnant, I decided I needed to clean house, so to speak. And I just decided to get rid of those friendships that were really one-sided. It was a hard decision, and even harder following through on it, but I'm so much happier now.

I let go of a friendship last year, I really thought that this person was a real girlfriend, one of those friends you can share every little detail and thought with. Wrong.

I too, also have the girlfriend from grade school that we really have nothing in common, but remain friends b/c of the history behind us. I think we just grow....and sometimes these people don't grow w/ us, and we need to move on...but there are some happy memories.

Michelle, So sorry you are going through this. Friendships are hard and they require work, but by both parties. I have been in your shoes before and it *****. Losing a friend or finally coming to terms with ending a friendship isn't hard, but we have to move on.

1. My best friend, my MOH bailed out on being my MOH because "I don't believe in marriage." Decided she'd still be a BM, then 3 weeks before the wedding, she tells me she doesn't want to be in the wedding at all. She never showed up at the church and didn't even make it to the reception. When my DH and I returned from the honeymoon I find a one line letter from her saying "Can I have the deposit back for my dress." I haven't seen, spoken or heard from her since.

2. My newest best friend (well not anymore) hurt me beyond belief. Her jealousy was so horrific that she broke up our friendship over it (way, way too long to get into). The worse part of it.....her daughter and mine we little girlfriends as well and she refused to let the girls play together. Took almost a year for my little girl to stop asking about her little friend.

The grass is not always greener on the other side. You know? I don't have a perfect life, a perfect marriage, a perfect job, but that's the way she saw it and it just drove a Mac truck through our friendship.

YOU NEED A FRIEND..............I'll take one of the other vacancies!

OMG, NO SHE DIDN'T!!!! WHAT A CREEP!!

This made me It's soo sad when the little ones get involved and they can't understand what's happened This happened to my sister. The girl was soo toxic she had to cut her off because she was jealous and needy. Meanwhile her son looked on my sister as a 2nd mother and the boys were like best friends. It broke my heart when my sister told me how my nephew cried because he couldn't hang out with Shawn and that she saw Shawn at a grocery store and he was begging his mother to come over and see my sister and nephew. She just dragged him away crying

I'm sorry you ladies got such a crappy lot of friends. Mine aren't that great lately either (not supportive, etc.) and it makes me re-evaluate who I want to hang with down the road. Hugs to everyone

i was just talk about this with a friend. i have a friend that lives in milwaukee. she knew my wedding date a yr in advance. she told me she doesn't think she could come to the wedding since she just getting back from vacation. where was she going, to rhode island and mass with a friend to see clay aiken. she's seen him plenty of times. i felt like she wanted to go to see clay aiken more than to come to the wedding. at first i was hurt, but i got over it.
